Hi I have also added you as neighbor - we have similar taste! I see you found Pigeon english good, I am tempted now! :)
Hi Ron,
No, I didn't get any suggestions for books to read in Brittany. I started reading Gods Without Men by Hari Kunru on holiday and still haven't finished it - nearly done though. Think I might start Pigeon English next, it's just been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
Danielle
Hi Danielle,
See you started a group asking for tips on what to read in Brittany. Did you get any suggestions?
I ended up reading a London based novel, "Ordinary Thunderstorms" in my week in France. Enjoyed the storyline in the main, but some slightly gruesome bits and not something I could readily connect with even though I would b familiar with some of the parts of London where it is set.
Happy reading,
Ron
Hi RonYY,
Perhaps I should have continued with A Week in December then, I found I just wasn't in the mood for finishing it with so many other exciting books on the shelf waiting to be read!!
Glad you appreciate the comments, happy reading to you too (unless it's a book which isn't supposed to be happy!)
Danielle
