What was your favorite story in Tales of Beedle the Bard

*** This comment contains spoilers! ***

I'm just curious as to what everyone's favorite tale was from the book, and why. Discussion on the tales would also be nice. I'd have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed "The Warlock's Hairy Heart" perhaps because of the gruesome, darker ending. It was very mature what it demonstrated, as Professor Dumbledore had said, trying to become superhuman made him very inhuman indeed. In the end, of course, he sought out that which he didn't have, a human heart, and tried to retrieve it from the girl, while his own heart refused to be removed. This shows, in a gruesome way, our thirst for love, and the overwhelming hunger that comes from suppressing it.
Anyway, the Warlock's Hairy Heart was by far my favorite story.
What's yours?

Babbity Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump is my favorite because it was the most realistic. I liked that animagi, the inability to bring back the dead, and unforgivable curses were discussed. Plus the King being made a fool of was amusing :)

My second favorite was The Wizard and the Hopping Pot for the relationship between wizards and muggles. Dumbledore's commentary did an excellent job in explaining the prejudices between the two groups (and the mention of Beatrix Bloxam was very funny!)

Yes, I have to agree that the Beatrix Bloxam part was very amusing, indeed. I was really eager to read that part to my little brother, just to see his reaction. I got "Wee Willykins had cured all the dollies of their poorly tum-tums" before he started pretend retching, and so when I read how Dumbledore said children typically reacted to it, he burst out laughing.
Yes, Babbity Rabbity and Her Cackling Stump was very much more realistic than the other stories, that is true, though it too had its flaws, such as, as Dumbledore pointed out, that a true animagus cannot speak in human tongue.
Maybe it's my morbid side speaking here, but I kinda wished that the people would have chopped the charlatan in half. Yeah, definitely my morbid side.

That is morbid indeed! I guess JKR figured the warlock licking the heart was enough lol.
