Taste compatibility for Groups invitations

Just went through a list of 240 people who, according to taste compatibility, I might want to invite to join my group on British Comedy, here...

http://www.anobii.com/groups/01b633b40134dcef9d/

Problem is, their taste compatibility is apparently based on titles like, I quote only the most frequents, Süskind's "Perfume", Garcia Marquez's "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and Eco's "The Name of the Rose", all great novels, surely, but none of which are even remotely British or in the least funny...

Moreover, none of these books, nor others, are included in the group's collection, so where do these invitation suggestions come from, and why?
