Probabilmente la migliore storia mai realizzata sul Cavaliere Oscuro. La storia scritta da Grant Morrison scende più che mai nei meandri della psiche di Batman, anche se i veri protagonisti qui sono Joker e il professor Arkham. Giocato su vari livelli semantici, Arkham Asylum è un capolavoro, reso tale anche dai dipinti (chiamarli disegni è davvero riduttivo) di Dave McKean, matita nota agli amanti di Neil Gaiman. L'edizione per l'anniversario è davvero ricca, con la sceneggiatura di Morrison, le note a margine, gli schizzi e le copertine. Non può mancare nella libreria di chi ama i fumetti.
