Tell me, what should I say? -
我相信, 他人的不幸並不使我們幸福. 這本書,只一程車及一集電視劇的時間我便看完了. 流暢淺白的筆鋒, 點點帶著感情, 但卻是一字一驚心。有時我們遺忘了大家都是香港人, 而有些人那樣子生活, 哪怕他們比我努力十倍, 辛苦百倍, 他們的命運也不會改變. 因為勤勞在香港已經毫無用處了。
究竟誰可改變這個事實呢? 政府求其加幾個社工位, 不過是為胸無抱負但有個垃圾社工牌的大學生撈油水罷了. 我買這本書, 收益全捐作社區用途, 但五元嗎, 十元嗎? 我特地不轉小巴回家, 在路上一直想一直思索, 這本書, 大概教我要更寬容一點吧. 不要歧視別人, 並不因為他們不幸, 而是我不配.

我已是第二次購買及閱讀此書了,某些篇章,每次重讀都忍不住熱淚盈眶。當代散文常流於矯情和造作,但陳雲是上乘的散文家,行文用字,真是越是平常最奇崌,每顆字都包藏著深厚的人文情懷。作者在新界的客家農村長大,雖然窮,卻是民風淳厚,翩翩有古意,令後輩如我追思不已。這次重讀,依然處處觸動,我卻不禁反覆詰問,真的嗎,還是我們習慣將往昔去蕪存菁?或許是各處鄉村各處例,我無法不記起祖母口中的舊時農村,充滿吃人的禮教,女性的卑賤屈辱,新生女嬰一個個給丟到河中,來不及掙扎便死去。不過,我還是樂意相信,在香港,曾經有一個社會,如世外桃源。
