But what a twist...enjoy (and book clubs this is a perfect choice - you'll never get to dinner ... (

I have to say I've always thought that Siri Hustevedt was a more interesting writer than her very famous husband Paul Auster. My favorite remains "what I loved" tbough I thouroughly enjoyed "the summer without men". I could relate to the story (middle aged New York woman dumped by hubby of 30 years spends summer licking her wounds at mom's place in the midwest) but more importantly I enjoyed the narrator's voice and reflections on literature and life, the cruelty of young girls and reading.
