As a non-native English speaker, or, better said, reader, this is one of the most difficult novels I ever read. But it is really worth, because it is a unique combination of existentialism, fantasy, romance, political critique, and tourist guide. I mean, there is a lot of guidance around literary pubs in London. Well, I am proud of myself having finished it.

If you are a scientist and you believe in God...

...you should really read this book. This long pamphlet is an attack to the NOMA (non overlapping magisteria) ethics as hypocrital.

  • Like an early version of the film

If you have enjoyed the 3D film that is really marvellous, consider that the book is far simpler and more for children. I enjoyed it in considering differences in the two plots, the first of the film, the other of the book

I've been practicing Katsugen Undo (K.U.) for 5 years at the School Itsuo Tsuda, then I moved away from that school, essentially for its so-called "Master" Régis Soavi. I let fall my Aikido as I realised it was totally wrong when I made my personal pilgrimage to real Aikido Masters - above all Maruyama Sensei. But I never abandoned K.U., as it is so simple that it cannot be really done wrong. Nonetheless, I was not completely satisfied by Itsuo Tsuda's approach. This book gives a different approach to K.U., far more simple and integrated, so you really can understand what K.U. is without being too mentally involved.

I've found this book on the shelf of a house in Ginostra, where people let 'strange' book for informal crossing. The typically American ads on that book, e.g. "a delightful novel", "brillianty funny" etc. don't find my approval. A man and a woman, living at the opposite sides of US, have a phone call. They never knew before and they met thanks to an erotic catalogue.
I've found that my English is too academic in order to enjoy subtile descriptions of robes and physical sensations and be erotically excited. But it was an interesting trial.

Fluxx Version 3.1
  • A funny game, quick and dirty, but with few strategies

I've played first time in an agile meeting in Belgium and it was very funny. It's good for team building, but it is mostly determined by casualities, so fun is high at first but afterwards it goes low a bit too fast.

Esperanto was launched in 1887 through a publication of a written book with some original and translated literature in. So, it is rightful to say that Esperanto had a literature since its beginning. However, from 1887 to 2007 a lot of writers published prose, poetry, theatre, essay... It was quite difficult to delve into Esperanto literature without knowing the language well, and even so, most of the books are quite difficult to achieve. This work is a fascinating tool to understand why people started - and still wants - to write in Esperanto instead in natural languages. In my point of view, the uniqueness of Esperanto literature, made by people all over the world on a equal basis, makes the language worth learning.
