Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, sometimes transliterated Dostoyevsky, Dostoievsky, or Dostoevski (November 11 1821 – February 9 1881) is considered one of two greatest prose writers of Russian literature, alongside close contemporary Leo Tolstoy.
