Edizione di Alice consigliata a chiunque voglia capire da dove derivano i giochi di parole, le allusioni e i personaggi mescolati in questo libro da quel genio del linguaggio che fu Lewis Carroll.
Alice è il paradosso e l'esaltazione di linguaggio e parola (il vero paese delle meraviglie in cui ci si avventura), dove i segni gettati sulla carta diventano "semi di senso", solo se c'è una mente a decifrarli e ricomporli, con il rischio e l'alta probabilità del fraintendimento.
Il linguaggio raramente ci comunica. Ma di sicuro ci inventa.
La morale del libro più amorale del mondo? Siamo effimeri come un mazzo di carte. Tanto vale divertirsi.

River Dart runs through Dartomoor and Devon towards Cornwall. The poetess (and gardener) Alice Oswald have been working two years on this long poem where the voices and the lives of different beings (naturalists, tourists, fishers, young boys, animals, workers) tangle with the sound of the flowing of the water to the unknown, distant sea. The movement of the river is suggested even graphically in the poem thanks to the alternation of very long verses which almost end in prose and short, broken ones as drops dripping from the leaves, as stones emerging from the current.

Punk life in Brixton

I love this book - I've been living between Brixton and Stockwell for almost three years, those places are a bit home for me.
Alby Starvation and Martin Millar are totally crazy and they're the best medicine if you feel lonesome.
