    I am hardly a master of nuance when it comes to English language, so, having to take things literally, I feel that Salman at least should've avoided placing potatoes in the Volga region at the beginning of the 16th century, just to cite one of the countless examples of anachronisms in this story.

    Or maybe he's just kidding with us and it's all a pretext to delight us with his style?

    In a nutshell: not a by damn sight near the level of The Moor's Last Sigh in my humble opinion.
