小说写得好，故事迷人。男与女，性与爱，西方与东方，婚姻与道德的矛盾冲突，老掉牙的冲突，在虹影的笔下却如此凄美而不一般。
然而，书中每个人都可轻易对上原型，时间，地点，人物都是历史存在。事件本身也确有其事，唯细节部分也许是虹影的想像。私情被如此暴露于天下，这样的写法是否妥当，我无法确定。
也许唯有虹影这样的女子，才敢有这样的特立独行。
