It's the same out-of-control shopping plot made me laugh, it's the same reliable friendship between Becky and Suze made me feel touched, it's the same heart-warmed Luke made me want to cry...It's the same interesting shopaholic I always love! I was especially touched by the plot which Luke finally showed up in Tom's wedding.

After all these disasters Becky went through, she became a totally "different" one!(Was her?) I'm looking forward to reading the next sequel novel!

    P.44-45
When I first knew Luke, I only ever saw him businesslike and polite, or scarily angry, or -- very occasionally -- amused. Even after we started seeing each other, it was a long time before he really let his guard down. In fact, the first time he really, really laughed, I was so surprised, I snorted lemonade through my nose.

Even now, whenever I see his face creasing into a real smile, I feel a bit of lift inside. Because I know he's not like that with everyone. He's smiling like that because it's me. For me.

  • Cover of Ten Sorry Tales

    Ten Sorry Tales

I mean, look what Rebecca have had gotten from her exciting, horrible lie-filled life, a money-making chance to be showed on the telly and a multimillionaire boyfriend! What else can be even more unreal than this? I'm really looking forward to reading more Shopaholic series!

    P.35
For a moment we are both silent. It's as though we're commuting with a higher being. The god of shopping.

    P.51
The thing is, I remind myself, buying cheap is actually a false economy. It's much better to spend a little more and make a serious purchase that'll last a lifetime.

Always use theproper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.

Your mother died to save you. If there is one thing Voldemort cannot understand, is is love. He didn't realise that love as powerful as your mother's for you leaves its own mark. Not a scar, no visible sign ... to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection for ever.
