I read the last 100 pages without stopping and the more I read the sadder I felt. And when I finished reading I felt a little sorry and a little lonely as if I had actually lost someone or something.
At the end, I think this is quite a sad story (growing up isn't exactly a happy thing, after all).
And it is also a story about identity, love, loss and freedom.
Even though it may immediately seem too simple and naive, I found this book quite thoughtful and a pleasure to read.
