This was a wonderful book filled with quirky and interesting characters. I liked how Mieville played with descriptions and turned London into UnLondon. I especially admired Deeba's courage and her insistence that sometimes prophecies may not come true exactly as written.

I liked this urban fantasy featuring Joanna Walker who has to learn quickly how to harness her shamanic powers while trying to save the city from the Wild Hunt. I look forward to Joanna's next storyline in the anthology, Winter Moon.

This was a good dark fantasy set in the modern day. I liked the intermixing of Celtic mythical creatures with twentieth century people. I especially liked how the twins Patrick and Sean learn how to cope in the faerie world.

This was a very interesting urban fantasy which mixed the fantastical with the historical time period. I liked how Jared tried to do the right thing even when things were difficult at home and at work.

I enjoyed this second book in the Kitty Norville series. I especially liked how Kitty learned about the other were-creatures in Washington, DC and how she learned that she could count on Alette, the vampire queen. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Kitty Takes a Holiday.

I enjoyed this gritty mix of mystery, horror, and fantasy set in a hidden world close to our own. There were times when I could anticipate what would happen, and other times when I was totally surprised. I look forward to the next book in the Nightside series, Agents of Light and Darkness.

This is a beautifully written book that is both poetical and fantastical. liked the mix of music and magic. All the characters are well defined, and I especially liked Eddi, Willy and the phouka.
