It somewhat reads like a continuation of "Brother of sleep", but Schneider uses an up-to-date language instead and focuses on a real character, Johan Sebastian Bach, and nowadays tensions between Eastern and Western Germans.
I really enjoyed how very clever he hints at all kinds of criticism, which has been uttered against him during the last couple of years. It is quite obvious that he identifies himself with the main character.
