    I have been reading this every night to our children. It is the most fantastic book I have ever read for children. The best part is that I am learning about a loving and awesome God! I will read this over and over with my children until their teenagers, then they get some of my books. This tells the whole story of the Bible in a gracious and theologically sound way. This is not just for kids anymore. Smile and pick one up for a child you love ( Read it for yourself before you give it away!). Sally Lloyd-Jones does a superb job of conveying truth.

    Anna believes in the American dream to have it all, but doesn't quite know what that is. When she has something good she isn't satisfied and keeps her eyes looking for more. How much do you need to make you happy, Anna? She needed the secret scroll in the Kung Fu Panda movie, "There is no secret ingredient." She is a selfish character, but I ended up caring about her anyway. I wondered about Lev and Katia also. I really liked the ending for them, but sadly not for Anna K., or her son. I liked the book, because you definately got a Russian flavor with it.

    The main character in this story tells the President of China, in a series of letters, how he's escaped the prison of culture. Which I think is a total joke, as he has become a murderer. "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil."
