sembra (e molti temi sono quelli) l'ennesimo romanzo su quella famigerata estate dell'adolescenza (o post-adolescenza) in cui tutto e' cambiato; ma la mano di Chabon e' profonda mantenendo una speciale leggerezza.

la prosa di savage e' divertentissima, sfrontata e sincera e l'oggetto (adozione di un bambino da parte di una coppia gay) si presta ottimamente a questo "reportage" spassoso e interessantissimo al tempo stesso.
