I liked the way the reader feels connected with the main character, something that the movie misses completely. All the story is just fantasy but because of this I will forever look at "Girl with a Pearl Earring" with a different eye.
It was strange at first start reading this grafic novel, because I am a huge fan of the tv serie and the comic seems so damn different from it! Other characters, paths of the story, twists. After few chapters I totally fell in love with the comic book´s story and I started prefering it to the serie.

And it is so strange to start seeing the tv serie´s Season 2. I feel like a fat, american Nerd, writing letters of protest to the tv show´s producers. DAMN IT! Respect the original story.
I think this is a boring, badly written book. The story could have a lot of interesting points to discuss, but the writer seems far from the story. Phares with a fake artistic choice, scenes with no heart, from my point of view. Very different from the plot I read.

Reading this book I felt the same courage Darwin showed while publishing it at his times. The reader is satisfied of all the information Darwin gives to him, and this illustrated version of the book, with incorporations from the new discoveries, help to make it everything easier and more satisfactory. The metaphor of the tree that Darwin uses to explain his theory is so fascinating, it makes the reader feel that he's a part of the everything, a little leaf between the other living branches, the dead ones and the sprouts of the big tree of life.
