the book is plain boring and pretty predictable, it quotes brands all the time and the best characters are the less seen, of course, because the most boring ones are the ones who give the possibility to write pages and pages about how glamorous upper east side life is.

    final judgement: useless, but relaxing.

    THE TWILIGHT TWIN
Doesn't this book sound SO MUCH like Twilight? I knew that SM did her job very well in picking things here and there to put the book together.. but this is ridicolous. She totally copied this book. Every single thing. Edward and Stefan are so alike - though L.J.Smith doesn't dwell on his awesomeness that much, and this is definitely a pro. Edward is sooo boring.

    TWO MINUTES OF HATE
"You are telling me that I, Giuseppe, Conte di Salvatore, will have to face my friends knowing that my
son is a scioparto? A ne'er-do-well? An idler who makes no useful contribution to Florence?"
    Servants
were edging away as Giuseppe worked himself into a rage.
Damon did not even blink. "Apparently. If you can call those who fawn on you in the hopes that you will
    lend them money your friends."
"Sporco parassito!" cried Giuseppe, rising from his chair.

This passage summarizes what totally disgusted me about this book. The Italian guys are called STEFAN and DAMON ..are you kiddin me? These are not Italian names.
And did the writer gather information about Italy watching the Sopranos?! I mean. The idea of fascinating mysterious sexy (and so on) Italian guys is so a hundred years ago!
As long as i know, there have never been counts in Florence: it was a signoria. AND the word 'scioparto' doesn't exist; by the way i guess she meant scio-pe-ra-to. AND it is parassita , not parassito. If a book needs to have words in other languages .. pay a good editor an make all those awful errors disappear!

down with cliches, I'm so done with this kind of books. This one was even worse that the Italian scenes in New Moon.
