I liked the book. It was easy to read, but I don't feel as though I've learned a lot. It all seemed...fairly obvious.

This book is beautifully written. It's a little slow at the beginning but picks up. While the Bible, like the family name, is passed from one to son to another, this book is a story of strong and unique females. I love the way that Tony Millionaire manages to take a childhood icon, Sock Monkey, and make him the dark sidekick to an equally twisted doll. It really gets the imagination wheeling. I can't get the picture of the ants in Inches out of my head.

I like the way that Jessica Abel incorporates Spanish into the text. It has a very authentic feeling without being alienating. I want to go back to Mexico.
