第一次接觸這個故事是在天母的櫻桃谷書店買的繪本DVD動畫。一開始擔心配樂有一點可怕, 不知道小杰會不會排斥, 沒想到他超愛這部影片, 居然連看了3次!!
後來因為小杰很喜歡這個故事, 於是又在敦煌買下這本繪本。介紹一下這本繪本的故事內容:
有一個小男孩非常調皮, 媽媽都叫他"wild thing". 有一天媽媽生氣責罵他, 小男孩回嘴說: "I'll eat you up!" 於是小男孩被罰關在房間不准吃飯。回到房間後他發現它的房間突然長出了森林, 接著出現了一個湖。小男孩於是划船渡過了湖, 來到一個充滿 wild things 的島。小男孩在 ... (continue)

故事是說一直勤奮工作的鴨子跟一個懶惰農夫的故事，因為農夫實在太懶，最後農場動物們自立自強把懶惰的農夫趕走了。
小杰盯著圖片問:"Where is the farmer?" 他去那裡了? 雖然跟他解釋他被趕走沒有再回來，杰還是一直很在意想知道farmer 到底去了哪裡?!

故事非常有趣, 很容易引起孩子們的興趣！My little boy loved it so much that he asked me to read it again before our bed time yesterday!
後記:小杰很喜歡這個故事，看完以後還要來自導自演一下！杰 指著我說: "你是 penguin, 我是 Ben!"(Ben 是書中小男孩的名字)
接著模仿書中Ben 一直想逗 penguin 說話一樣戳了我一下，penguin 沒反應～Marvo 於是學 Ben 最後非常沮喪的樣子抱著頭大叫~啊～啊～

小杰很喜歡這個可念可唱的故事，最後調皮的 rabit Foo Foo 被 Good Fairy 變成 goonie 的部份他覺得特別有趣，一直說: 變成goonie 了耶！看繪本時也是一直盯著最後變成 goonie 的圖片看。
