I just finished reading this book for the second time, and I have to say that it still ranks as one of the best books on writing I've ever read. final book in the Wrinkle in Time series. A little stranger than the others and kind of new-agey, but still solid characterization and writing, IMO

another take on a dystopia that I found far more disturbing than "1984."

One of my favorite classics. I've read it many times and never get tired of it. This transcends all of the mocking, mediochre films on Dracula that have come out of Hollywood.

I can see why this is one of the ones everyone always asks if you've read when you say you read sci-fi. An extremely well-written tale that defines the genre. Wonderful series of books that are worth reading again and again. I love how Lewis' thoughts can work on the level of a child's understanding as well as that of an adult. Every time I read them I glean something new and wonderful out of them.

One of my all-time favorites. An original sci-fi/fantasy story with wonderful characters and settings and a deep moral theme.

The Kite Runner
read this one about three times-mainly because it was in the bathroom and it was all that was there to read. Good book. Makes me glad I don't live in Afghanistan.
