Good good book. Love the fact that you can read between the lines for Stevens' commentary and realise that Lord Darlington suppported the Nazis in spite of what Stevens said and that Ms Kenton had feelings for him.

Still not as good as Wind Up Bird Chronicle, but this was pretty good! Sure, I didn't really like the ending, but how funny was the scene when Hoshino casually chats with the cat for fun? :)

This book wasn't bad, but it's like a much shorter, watered-down version of Wind Up Bird Chronicle, which IMO, is still the best Murakami book I've read so far.
The jarring ending was definitely a surprise, but it's still Murakami and there were lots of lovely lovely lines. :)

This book is witty and easy to read all at the same time. It was pretty funny, and Cody's style is funny and honest all at the same time (she buys a car 'with miles purchased with lots of horizontal smiles').
