The reason of the 4 stars rate is only due of 3 uber-descriptive chapters. Nothing else. When I think about "Notre-Dame de Paris", the first words that pops up in my mind are : lust, tragic and shock. Lust because all the book is driven by love, pure and impossible love that it leads to a tragic and shocking finale.
Pity for those 3 uber boring chapters. Adviced.

I took so much time because I was so really busy to running my site and watch tons of TV series but I was focused on read it I was able to read like 50 pages per day. I was attracted by this book because I love Northern Europe countries and crime stories. The particularity of this novel is that everything has a continuous of veil of melancholy and Kurt Wallander is the emblem of it. Also, the finale's twist is gonna shock you 'cause it left me totally speechless (I mean Karl Svedberg is gay and he was in love with... I won't say who!). Do you love Sweden and crime stories? It's totally recommended!

Does anyone of you have followed/watched the latest stroke of genious by FOX, "Touch"? Well, imagine that in this book but please add more adult parts, emotions and events. This is the third book that I read so fast in a while, I'm happy because means that I have enjoyed. But the total bummer of this book is the finale, too logical and kinda incomplete. I say incomplete 'cause only the principal charecter is taken in consideration with his fatal tragedy and the others we quite don't know how's their life is gone. If it wasn't for the finale the book would have received 5 stars for me. But I tell you that once you have start to read this book, will become like an obsession and won't stop till the end like a vortex.

More than a pilgrimage is an mental/spirtual travel in search of the soul. Some passage can be quite boring and some adventurous. The moral is not to teach but let flow with the book's mood. I don't recognize this book as a masterpiece but is really enjoyable. Obviosly at first moment you be quite shocked and think : "This author is stoned, maybe she has abused of pot" but going on with the reading you'll have a distant sense of logic. The point of this book is not have logic and be overwhelmed with the sensations and feelings.

I've started this book with the prejudice that Shakespeare books are difficult to read, finished I've totally change my mind : you believe me if I tell that it's one of the easiest classics I've ever read. As a lover of the Early Modern I was really thrilled to read the original version (although I've understood of it the 5%, now I'm searching a book where to learn more about the Early Modern. Instead about the plot is pure genious, Macbeth is really gone mad at the end. It's to add the advocate of all this is her wife who has pushed Macbeth to commit the murderers 'cause she's clearly understood his thirst for power.

The phrases aren't linear, well structured (and you got to give the hell out to find the subject sometimes) but I think that's right and respectiful not to modernize the structure. Talking about the plot - I cannot add anyhting it's a masterpiece maybe the last part is a little boring but the rest... I've no words...

I've read a long time ago this book during my High school period and it was some time that it was spinning in my mind this title.. so I've decided to bought it and soon I can I've started to read it... it's one of those book that I want to read endessly... it's not a lame teen book about stupid love stories, is a book about inner feelings, obstacle that life put us, profound love and suffering. Although the topic, it's a book really enjoyable.
Maybe you'll find the intercourse's descriptions very harsh but I found it really justified. The only thing that you can do is embrace this book read it without breath.... is one of those book that one time in your life you have to read.
