I was surrounded by people I loved, and I felt very happy and miserable at the same time. I thought of what a mess everything had been, but that it wouldn't always be that way.

I'd never heard of Simon Armitage before then my supervisor mentioned him during my dissertation because the title of his latest book, _Gig_, is a word, whose origin I tried to explain in my dissertation, yadda yadda. I thought I wanted to have this book because it reminds me of my graduation, so I bought it.
It turned out to be really, really funny and now I'm looking forward to reading some of his poems too.
A must-read for every failed rock star :)

avevo letto il cavaliere inesistente tempo fa, poi però non ho avuto occasione di finire la trilogia degli antenati, così leggendo che fino al 19 aprile c'era lo sconto sugli oscar, sono passato a prendere qualcosa ;)
