這本小說的出場人物還真是有點多呢，光是查案的警局就有兩家，但是小說大部份焦點都落在 Grace McBride 身上，一個冷冰冰的 tough gal，連穿浴袍時也槍不離身，但對朋友就愛護有嘉，令人更加想探索她為何要重門深鎖。 故事很緊湊，在快要老掉牙的連環殺人亦有點驚喜。第一次讀到以電腦遊戲為主題的推理小說，遊戲和殺人事件本來緊密相連，殺手的確有動機要模倣遊戲，可是作者沒有太觸及到彼此的連繫，以致結局有點自言自語，而且兇手的背景有點不可思議。但是說到結局，最可惜還是太像荷利活動作片，就只差男女主角來個情深一吻。
