Not your typical "big bang" Banks ending -
I think I got used to much to the way Ian Banks ends his stories, they always end in the least expected way, with a huge surprise that he's been building up to since the first page. This book is no different, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect more. It did got me thinking though: is the end ... (continue)

Not bad, but not great either -
Not the most exciting book out there but its readable. The author dumbs down everything, its like the reader is a complete idiot, but thats not my problem with the book, my problem is that despite the fact that the story is taking place in the 24th century you cant help but feel that the author is s ... Starcraft II: Heaven's Devils
A really bad StarCraft novel by all measures. It gives you the feeling that it's been written to the mentally challenged who have a fascination with the marines.
It can be read, it wont put you to sleep, and maybe you will like it if you're into marines and not interested in starcraft, but if you're ... (continue)
A really bad StarCraft novel by all measures. It gives you the feeling that it's been written to the mentally challenged who have a fascination with the marines.
It can be read, it wont put you to sleep, and maybe you will like it if you're into marines and not interested in starcraft, but if you're a starcraft fan, or a fan of good books and good science fiction, you wont enjoy it.
