I read the Arabic version of this book, but since I couldn't find that or its ISBN on the internet I put in this one. This was my first Arabic novel, I was both shocked and amazed at what I read, being from a very conservative society I didn't think we wrote such books. Another thing that you'll notice if you've read Arabic literature is that it's full of hidden meaning and metaphors, nothing is what it seems, there is always something to think about, something to ponder at and try and understand. I can't say that I understood most of the hidden meanings that the author tried to convey, but I did enjoy the book he wrote.
