@Grim: Yep, they feel very different though. Compared to the movie, you'll find them a lot more detailed and slower moving, more focused on characters and politics. Not to everybody's taste, but definitely worth a try.
I liked watching dune. Were the books as good as any-one of the movie adaptations?
I hope you enjoyed the novels by Murakami as much as I did. He really creates a fascinating universum!
Actually, I've been wanting to read 1984 and Animal Farm for years, I just always forget about it. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Couldn't really get into it at first, but then couldn't put it down again after ~100 pages or so.
