Cover of "Fish! A Remarkable Way to Boost Morale and Improve Results"

My former boss gave each of us a copy of this to read. The idea was to help us work as a team. I didn't expect much, but I read it in the car on the way to a Labor Day party.

I was most taken with it. The parable with the Seattle fish market was very powerful. Unfortunately, our workplace never discussed the book let alone enact any of its principles.

Cover of "Weird N.J."
    • I purchased a copy and read it. Gert did not know I had the book and got me a copy for Christmas.

Most of the book is a re-hash of the magazine. It is nice to have it all in one resource.

I have an extra copy of this.

    • Received as a birthday gift from my SIL. Interesting fun little facts. Not scholarly, rather fun.

Cover of "Walk Two Moons"
    • During the summer I attended a reading workshop (teachers don't do anything during the summer, remember) and we were actually assigned to read this Newbury Award winning book. Fabulous prose. This is an excellent book for students to read.

Cover of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Camping & Hiking"
    • Somehow I grew up without having camping and hiking experience. Once in college, I got a little experience, but always with others.

As Gert and I got into geocaching, we got into camping once again. Her family camps all the time.

This book helped me get familiar with what is needed.

Cover of "Questions for My Father"
    • I am not certain how I came to this book, but I recall I had it in Florida prior to my father's passing. I believe I asked him some of the questions. It would have been wonderful to have blogged all that.

FAQ See all

I see a shelf I like. How can I keep track of its updates?

If you know the person, add as a friend. Otherwise, add as a neighbor. Either way, you will get to stay on top of future updates via RSS feeds.

I see a shelf I don't want to ever see again. What can I do?

Choose "block", and this shelf will be filtered out for all purposes.

How does the voting work?
Find a comment helpful / unhelpful? Cast your vote. Only one vote from each person will be counted. Every hour we gather all the votes, add them up, add some magic source, and there we have the new sorting for the comments on the page of this book!
What's the difference between friends and neighbors?
Friends are people you know. Neighbors are people you don't know but you'd like to keep track of their updates anyway.
Would I would leave a trace when I visit other people's shelf?
You get to choose. If you can choose to visit anonymously, you will not get to see who has visited your shelf. Fair deal.
