Blueberry Girl è una preghiera scritta da Neil Gaiman e illustrata magistralmente da Charles Vess per una bimba appena nata.
La preghiera celebra le gioie della crescita e, secondo me, può essere dedicata alle donne di qualsiasi età per augurare loro di ricevere tutto il meglio che la vita può dare:

"Keep her from spindles and sleeps at sixteen,
Let her stay waking and wise.
Nightmares at three or bad husbands at thirty,
these will not trouble her eyes.
Dull days at forty,
false friends at fifteen,
let her have brave days and truth,
let her go places that we've never been,
trust and delight in her youth.."

"So, whenever you have a hard time of apologizing, remember: if you can become someone different than the person who had the fight, you might be able to deal with the situation a bit more honestly."

Questo manga è diverso dal solito stile delle Clamp. Si tratta di una raccolta di storie brevi, ognuna delle quali ha come tema centrale uno dei sentimenti che fanno parte dell'amore (passione, insicurezza, onestà..), ed è stata ispirata da un episodio veramente accaduto nella loro vita.
Un manga molto interessante, che fa riflettere!
