what fascinated me when i traveled to prague was the Jewish grauter. and i heard from a friend the tale of Golem. so i went into a bookstore on the old square and bought it. the tales in the book are fascinating just like Prague itself. though the incarnation of Golem is a little bit creepy.

bought this in Prague, since i read another book of Hrabal earlier. i planned to buy his books before the trip. but unfortunately, this was one of the few selections available in the bookstore. i came across this book on new york times's website, and soon located it on amazon.com. it's a booklet showing the match boxes from the different times of Japan. it's quite an interesting, alternate way to understand the history of Japan.
