    While not a fan of his novels, I did find this volume of his short stories to be both fantastic and endearing. Each story is so unlike the others that I found randomly selecting a story and doing this all day to be very pleasant. He did very well with creating a well understood universe in each story - difficult in a tale so short!

    Willis is one of my favorite fantasy and scifi authors and this was the first time I came across her works. I picked up my ragged copy at a library sale and it has only gotten worse for wear. She has a distinctive style of writing that brings the reader into her universes; her characters and the events they go through equally believable and one grows to care for them.
