Cover of "The Hanged Man"
    • After discovering FLB when a friend recommended Violet & Claire to me she quickly became my favorite author, and I hurried out to buy all her books. This has always been one of my favorites. I've read it many times. It's a haunting story, and it's beautifully told.

Cover of "Seeing Redd"
    • Great sequel! This episode centers around Redd's plot to get back to Wonderland and take it over. We volley back and forth between her mechinations and Alyss' life as Wonderland's newly instated Queen. Lots of action! Very excited to see how it turns out.

Cover of "Dexter in the Dark"
Cover of "Dearly Devoted Dexter"
    • This one is not for the faint of heart...the bad guy in this installment is a bit more gruesome. But it makes for a compelling story that's for sure!

I first met Dexter via TV, and was curious to see how much the book would differ. I think that the book fans will still love the show, and the show fans will likely love the books. Of course to us, Dexter is going to already be in our heads, and the TV version can sometimes seem a little cooler, but I really enjoyed the book, and am interesting to see the directions the story will go, as the books go on way, an the show has apparently gone another.

Cover of "Christine Kringle"
    • While the writing drove me nuts on occasion, the story was good, and at the end I was really glad I had read it.

Cover of "Beige"
    • Really cute story about life in a world that's not native to you. Beige feels just that, when transplanted from Montreal to southern California, but she learns a lot about herself in that foreign land.

Cover of "Wuthering Heights"
    • I hate to admit that some of the language got in my way while reading this. Anytime Joseph appeared I was utterly lost...but when in the midst of hearing Mrs. Dean tell the story of Heathcliff and Catherine, it was quite easy to get swept up.

FAQ See all

I see a shelf I like. How can I keep track of its updates?

If you know the person, add as a friend. Otherwise, add as a neighbor. Either way, you will get to stay on top of future updates via RSS feeds.

I see a shelf I don't want to ever see again. What can I do?

Choose "block", and this shelf will be filtered out for all purposes.

How does the voting work?
Find a comment helpful / unhelpful? Cast your vote. Only one vote from each person will be counted. Every hour we gather all the votes, add them up, add some magic source, and there we have the new sorting for the comments on the page of this book!
What's the difference between friends and neighbors?
Friends are people you know. Neighbors are people you don't know but you'd like to keep track of their updates anyway.
Would I would leave a trace when I visit other people's shelf?
You get to choose. If you can choose to visit anonymously, you will not get to see who has visited your shelf. Fair deal.
