Cover of "The Off Season"
    • Very good sequel, with a lot of unexpected plot twists. If you liked Dairy Queen, you'll find this just as good a read, though a slightly different one.

Cover of "Thirteen Reasons Why"
    • Excellent book. Very unique look at suicide and its causes, effects, and repercussions. Don't pass it by because you think you'd get depressed. You'd seriously be missing out.

Even better the second time around. Ought to be required reading in High School.

Cover of "Eclipse"
    • Awesome! Definitely not the one to start with if you're new to the series, and definitely what you were waiting for if you've been there from the beginning.

Cover of "The Golden Compass"
    • I recently saw the trailer for the movie, and while I was on vacation, ran into my copies of the books, so I decided to read them again. This is definitely a unique story that any fantasy or even sci-fi fan should love.

Cover of "Dairy Queen"
    • This was a really great story. DJ, at 15, has taken over the family farm, which has made being a teen just that much more difficult. Especially when the rival QB shows up in her driveway.

Cover of "The Center of Winter"
    • I got this just because I thought Wasted was such an excellent book and was glad that Marya was around to write another.

Definitely a good buy. This is a really well written book, and a rather unusual story.

I'm looking to move my library's website in-house, and wanted to do some reading beforehand. The one downfall of this book is that it focuses on Fedora Core for the linux install. Some of it would carry over to any variant I'm sure but the Fedora-specific instructions wouldn't. Still, it was a great introduction to running your own server and gave me a good idea of what I'd need (and need to know) to get going.

FAQ See all

I see a shelf I like. How can I keep track of its updates?

If you know the person, add as a friend. Otherwise, add as a neighbor. Either way, you will get to stay on top of future updates via RSS feeds.

I see a shelf I don't want to ever see again. What can I do?

Choose "block", and this shelf will be filtered out for all purposes.

How does the voting work?
Find a comment helpful / unhelpful? Cast your vote. Only one vote from each person will be counted. Every hour we gather all the votes, add them up, add some magic source, and there we have the new sorting for the comments on the page of this book!
What's the difference between friends and neighbors?
Friends are people you know. Neighbors are people you don't know but you'd like to keep track of their updates anyway.
Would I would leave a trace when I visit other people's shelf?
You get to choose. If you can choose to visit anonymously, you will not get to see who has visited your shelf. Fair deal.
