  • I never read Isabel Wolff's work before and I am glad that I gave it a try. The book had good reviews on Amazon.co.uk which I don't always agree with but this time the reviews were right.
    Wolff writes well and the characters are likable. What I like most is that the story has some depth.

But this Xmas my mother in law gave me the idea of using books written for kids to lear new things so I picked up this one. GREAT! I learned the basic crochet skills in 30 minutes!!! The illustrations are good and instructions are clear. Projects are easy yet cute.

    自國中後就沒有再拿起鉤針，就算後來試了幾次甚至還了買了中文書還是不行。我還想過去上課（但我是個大懶人）。從婆婆手中接過的聖誕禮物是一個裝編織工具的袋子，小孩用的棒針，一團她用剩的毛線，還有一本學棒針的童書。從那本書，我很快就上手，所以以此纇推我想用童書來學鉤針也一定行。這本書的圖畫得很清楚，解釋也很淺顯易明。我在短短的３０分鐘就上手了。 臺灣也該出出這種書不只給小孩也讓我這種想學又苦無門道的人。

    This book is the follow-up of Personal Shopper. The length of the book can be shorten a little I think. However this one is definitely better than Personal Shopper as the character is more developed.

    What I don't like about this book is that the story tries to pack too many things in and does not give each enough account or let each develop. The characters are not fully developed or sometimes their behaviour and/or personality are not consistent.
