    un libro davvero splendido, come già "il cacciatore di aquiloni".La stessa copertina, per me, era un promessa; l'autore, anche se solo dopo un solo libro..una garanzia, capace di raccontare storie di vite umili ed eroiche al contempo, con il suo stile poetico, drammatico, ma sempre pervaso da una sorta di serenità e una sofferta saggezza che colpiscono. ...   • maybe the bestof the three. All chacters are perfectly written, paricularly the "Monster"-in-law, and the expedient the protagonists thinks up in the end to make everyone happy about the marriage is worth the reading!

  • second one...I thought it would be necessarily worse...and it was quite a surprise...the way she gets over troubles and finds new stores to fall in love with makes this book as entertaining as the first.

    After reading "can you keep a secret"I got over the doubts I had about this author...and I found this book incredibly funny, though the girl portrayed in it IS quite unbearable at times, but I ended up fancying her anyways. (the letters she exchanges with bank supervisor are so witty!)

  • Starts very well, with lots of funny lines... but then it slows down too much.. there's no more curiosity about the forgotten past of Lexi, and the end is maybe too much predictable. The style, though, it's always the fresh, funny one of Kinsella... but I still believe that "Can you keep a secret" is way better than all the others. ... (continue)
