Cover of "Soon"
    • I am waiting for the next in the series. It definately leaves you wanting more. The future it describes seems very believable. I can't imagine life without being a Christian in the open, to have to hide my core beliefs.

They wrote letters in character and eventually revised it to fit together better, but kind of let the letters lead the book. Very interesting.

    • Great book!! This is the second time I have read this book. We read it for the high school book club. I think illustrates well how clicky and snobish high school students can be.

I thought this book had a very interesting concept. I find it hard to believe that companies would actually pay kids to look for and create new trends, but then again, I wouldn't put it past them to make a buck. While I wasn't completely impressed with the book I think it might be a good book to discuss for teenagers. I think it raises some interesting concepts when it comes to consumerism and why people buy what they buy or like what they like. I kind of found it annoying that the author kept hinting at "product placement" but did not come out and say what product/brand was being referred to. Some were very obvious while others were not. Nike was the big one that the book centered on.

Cover of "Sick Puppy"
    • I think you need a special personality to truely enjoy this novel. I liked it, but was kind of disturbed by it. Sometimes the language was pretty raunchy.

Cover of "Size 12 Is Not Fat"
    • In the end I liked this story, but I was not impressed with the repetition of the title phrase or others... I think that part of my dislike for the novel stems from seeing Meg Cabot in person and not being impressed by her. I probably will read the next book in the series when it comes out because I ... I probably will read the next book in the series when it comes out because I am intrigued by Cooper and Heather.

Cover of "She's Come Undone"
    • At times I really disliked Dolores. I think the book was very well written, however, I didn't necessarily enjoy it. I think Lamb did a wonderful job of making the reader feel what Dolores was going through. I am glad I finished it, but probably won't recommend it to others.

FAQ See all

I see a shelf I like. How can I keep track of its updates?

If you know the person, add as a friend. Otherwise, add as a neighbor. Either way, you will get to stay on top of future updates via RSS feeds.

I see a shelf I don't want to ever see again. What can I do?

Choose "block", and this shelf will be filtered out for all purposes.

How does the voting work?
Find a comment helpful / unhelpful? Cast your vote. Only one vote from each person will be counted. Every hour we gather all the votes, add them up, add some magic source, and there we have the new sorting for the comments on the page of this book!
What's the difference between friends and neighbors?
Friends are people you know. Neighbors are people you don't know but you'd like to keep track of their updates anyway.
Would I would leave a trace when I visit other people's shelf?
You get to choose. If you can choose to visit anonymously, you will not get to see who has visited your shelf. Fair deal.
