So far, this book give me an impression that it contains both the styles of "The Shadow of the Wind" and "One Hundred Years of Solitude"
Like "the Shadow of the Wind", this novel has her heroin as a bookstore owner's daughter and the spell of the Angelfeilds recall me about the Angel of Mist.
The secret and isolation of the Angelfeilds are partly similar with what happened to the Buendias in "One Hundred Years of Solitude".
Well, my view may be wrong; after all, I read no more than a half of the book.
