I must say that Poole has, of course, gthe keen eye and an athletic + smart attitude that makes this effort a lot more easy to read than any other game studies essay. But, of course, this is not a game study.

    Masterpiece

Always loved the gift of Steinbeck to recreate the raw power of wild natural forces, and also the savage nature and instincts that inhabit the body of mens like the retarded Lennie of this novel, uncontrollable atavic powers that can unleash at any time at god's will. A must read.

Still prefer "From whom the bell tolls", but it's surely a nice novel.
