Fantastic book. Love Dickens. The character of David Copperfield and his true friends are ones to admire for their portrayal of goodness.

I'm not usually a fan of abridged books, but this one was great. After reading some other reviews I found that there are quite a few errors in this book so I might have chosen a work by a different author.

The Happiness Advantage

I'm usually not a big fan of these kind of self-help books, but this one was pretty well done. I could have done without all the commentary on the Harvard/Yale rivalry that seemed to pop up repeatedly in the beginning, but overall, an interesting read.

Not as riveting of a story as you might expect. Dahl's spy activities were nothing like you might expect and sadly, I esteem him less after learning a little more about his character. Worst of all, the book spews out name after name of a person you've never heard of or need to know of. I was able to learn a little American history and get a glimpse of the lives of a few famous characters that did make the book somewhat interesting.

This book has a really interesting plot and you're wondering throughout the entire story how it's going to end. It lost me a bit when it started to get real mushy about halfway through. It may have just been the way the narrator was reading the story, so I'd recommend sticking to book format.

The other half of the book which talks about the World's Fair in Chicago is equally fascinating. Learned a lot about a city I love to visit and a magical period of U.S. history.

Crush It!

Excellent book. Gary has more confidence than anybody you've ever met and its overly obvious in this book, but he backs it up pretty well. This is a great read for any internet business entrepreneurs. I plan on reading it often when I need a little motivation.

Pretty darn good! Every so often I'm in the mood for a good fantasy book for pure leisure purposes. The Eye of the World is the first book in The Wheel of Time series. The series has yet to publish the 14th and 15th books. When it's finished there will be over 10,500 pages of reading material in all. Needless to say, I'm glad that I have a huge list of books ahead of me whenever I'm in the mood to relax with a good story.

Overall this was a very good book on self-esteem - what it is and how you achieve a healthy self-esteem. The only strange thing about the book were the frequent jabs at the author's former lover, Ayn Rand. He provided some good examples about self-esteem through his relationship with her, but in my opinion, if you've got great self-esteem, you shouldn't have a need to publicly criticize others.

The Lightning Thief

Not nearly as good as I thought it was going to be. Much more juvenile than I thought it would be, but I shouldn't have expected much more. On a positive note, it was a pretty clever adaptation of mythical stories to our modern time.
