Wow! The story is really fantastic. But I don't like the main character, he is so... I think there are no words to describe him. Beauty is not important, the heart is.

From my point of view, I really enjoyed the story. All the characters are fantastic; especially Isabel and Yonah, both are well-defined like the others. And adding real characters makes the novel more reliable.
With this story, Eva Wiseman tells a story from a different point of view. A Jew Family that has to survive in a country where the things are changing. For Spanish people, it is a good book to remember what happened in our country so many years ago.
The narration is good, with no difficult words and good descriptions about the town and the manners of the different kind of people.
But the end could be better. If there was most action, my punctuation would have been of 5 stars. The beginning is perfect, and you have to read all the time because you want to know more and more. It seems like the author, at the end, do not want make suffer the characters.
At any rate, I would recommend this book. Come back to 15th century is always magic.
