The World Without Us By Alan Weisman
  • A very interesting book, revealing a lot I didn't know about how humans have changed the world, in some cases, forever. It is a book that makes your mind wander to what the world could be... if we left it alone.
    Well written and informative.

The Book Thief By Markus Zusak
  • My favourite book of the year

This book was an amazing read. What a great story. Sad, funny, entertaining. Well-written with quite an original writing style and set in an interesting time - Nazi Germany. I would recommend this book to anyone.

White Oleander By Janet Fitch
  • A sad story about a teenage girl growing up in foster homes. It is a great read and a very descriptive and emotive book. The writing style is deep and you can really get involved in the main character's life. Very similar style to Paint it Black, the author's other book.

The Tent By Margaret Atwood
  • A brilliant collection of short stories and other bits and pieces. Some are hilarious, others make you think, but all areeasy to read and very interesting. This book is a bit like reading the author's daily thoughts and worldy ideas.

The School for Husbands By Wendy Holden
  • A funny book, although I felt it a little too slow in the build up to the School For Husbands. As this is the book's title, I was expecting it sooner. Still, this is a good read, and a handy book for husbands in the dog house :)

Great book, very entertaining. I loved reading his views on people and situations and frequently laughed during the book. I heard about it first in a Frasier episode, then my friend lent it to me. Glad he did :)
