• 我有一種感覺, 就是生物統計/計量所涉及的數學都比醫學統計的計算深奧難懂.
  但這書其實只涉及一些基本原理, 跟以往所讀的醫學統計書籍很相似, 算是溫故知新吧.

• 顧名思義真的是一本simple guide, 薄薄的一本小書只介紹了SPSS的一些比較基本功能(記憶中有好些多變量分析功能都從略).
  書中的例子都很容易follow, 任何人只要肯做都能學會.

• 給非統計專門的大專用書, 跟基礎統計學有大量重複的部分. 由於本人讀過醫學統計, 這本書不用三天(速讀)就翻完了.

• 由於多變量分析是統計學上的一大分枝, 所以能概括幾乎所有課題的書都會十分之充實.
  可能是要照顧商科, 社會學科和心理學科學生的數學程度, 本書雖然都提供了起碼的數學根據描述, 但始終有略嫌不足之感...即使如此, 就算省略了數學演算部分, 對整體理解都不會構成大影響.

  辦公室求生術不是更重要嗎?

  此書是從某位舊(女)同事的遺物中接收過來的, 是<office procedure>的問題實習本, 好像是pitman試和不知什麼試(總之跟business studies有關)的參考書.

  內容嘛, 很顯淺, 很常識性的, 大概是懂得英文的人都一定很容易讀得明.

• 本書介紹了醫學和臨床科學中所應用到的統計學知識。除了標準的統計理論外，還有Cohort studies，case-control studies，relative risk，odds ratio，standardized rates，survivor function等專為醫學統計而設的資料。寫得很顯淺的一本書，但作為教材尚有不足之處哦。

• 這是一本老書，傳統的多變量方法都介紹了。首先讀者需要認識矩陣代數理論，否則真的不用看下去了。
  內容包括Principal components(including correlation and covariance matrices) 、MANOVA、叢集分析、因子分析、Multidimensional scaling、hierarchical methods等。

• 修讀數理統計的標準参考書，內容都是跟統計理論和方法有關。內容包括機率理論、統計分佈理論、統計方法如模擬和馬可夫鏈、估計方法、假設檢定、信賴區間、無母數方法等等…。
  其實我也沒有讀完所有chapter，有需要再查吧！

• 雖然書名叫"科學研究", 但這本不是理科的書, 而是不折不扣的社會學科書籍. 例如講及科學進展對社會發展的衝擊, 科學精神及其定義, 有關的哲學性思想等等...

• 一本十分基礎的統計學教科書，沒有深奧的數學理論，所以即使是數學根柢不好，或只有cert. level math.程度的讀者，都可以很容易掌握書中的內容。
