Cover of Bambert's Book of Missing Stories
  • It's been my bedside story for more than a week. Very short but well-written story. It's about a very small man's fantasy to send the stories he wrote with balloon and let the stories find where they belong. These stories represent the suffering of the protagonist Bambert, and the things he longs for but couldn't get them due to his body deformity. So writing has secretly become a sort of emotional outlet for him. The book is romantic in its own special way. Got sad/touching ending, somehow gave you the feeling that it's the best way the story should end. ... (continue)

An enjoyable reading experience, though when it comes to the description of panorama or scenery I do skip a bit. The ending is not totally unexpected but still a sweet and warm surprise. I feel sorry for the star that has to remain in the Faerie for the rest of her life. It's a happy but sad ending.

Cover of The Book of Lost Things
  • The story is well written. It's really easy to enter the world created by the author and I enjoy reading it a lot. I especially like the way "new version" of the fairy tales is re-written in this book. As the author has said, the book is a book about childhood for adult. While reading it some of my childhood memories, both happy and sad ones, came alive again. It's a book that make the reader think a lot about grief and loss in one's life. Really worth spend some time on it! ... (continue)

Very well written. After reading the "order of phoenix" it has become such a story that I dislike and I read the last two just because I wanted to know how the story goes on. I have to admit that this last book of Harry Potter changed a bit of my feeling. I'm happy to have read it at least and found it an enjoyment. ... (continue)
