Linguisticamente è stato una sfida per il mio povero inglese, ma mi è piaciuto molto questo racconto a più voci, ognuna con una propria storia e con un proprio stile.

Not the best McEwan I read, some pages were too obscure and difficult to read (for ex. the ones about brain surgery... - but maybe that was due to my bad English!).
Following Henry's thoughts sometimes gives the reader a feeling of discontinuity.

L'apartheid visto dagli occhi di un decenne afrikaner, abbastanza sconvolgente se si pensa alla patina di ottusa e ipocrita normalità spalmata su un contesto così poco ordinario... mi ha lasciato addosso una sensazione di malessere e inquietudine.

A blast against America and Americans or Earth and human beings? Anyway, harsh in a very funny way... most of all when author explains the meaning of simple things with the help of drawings.
First Vonnegut for me, and I'll certainly read more!

This was a difficult reading not because I considered it boring but, on the contrary, because it is striking and not always easy to emotionally bear.
I think the author was great, sensitive and very brave, this is an amazing and dangerous work of research, what journalism should dare to be!
