A very interesting book on football. Using statistical regression, the authors grill out some eye-opening findings, such as the factors affecting league standings, international achievements, economics in holding a big event. Worth the effort to read this book to have a different perspective in watc ... (continue)

"寸" is the main theme of the book. 鄧永鏘 succeeds in doing so. Even though readers may not agree with his opinion, it worths to take a minute or two for self reflection.

It is always entertaiing to read author's book on folklore. In addition to that, this book is a thought provoking one. Even though one may not agree with author's insight, the book does provide enough food (negative selection, mangerialism, etc) for our critical thinking on the existing policies and ... (continue)

The Innovation Secrets of Steve Jobs

-
After reading "Presenting Secrets of Steve Jobs", I longed to read this book. However, I am a bit disappointed by the content - the so-called secrets have been well published after the death of Steve Jobs.
That said, this book is very well organized and narrated. Key concepts include:

I like "the Secret" very much - I rate it 5-star here. In contrast, this "The Secret the power" hardly touch me. Yes, I agree love is a major force throughout our lives. But the narration and elaboration of the book sounds shallow to me. I'd prefer the books from "Thich Nhat Hanh" more.

二)談別人向你發怒 -- 如我不收你的禮物,要收回的是送禮人;
- — Dec 20, 2011 | Add your feedback

All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten
A series of short stories/essays. Some of them make me think. Examples include
1) itsy-bitsy spider: have you thought of it as an adverture, followed by disaster, then never give up and resume the adventure again?
2) hide and seek: well .... Is it a game of hide and give-up when yo hide so well?

Last but not least, don't be deceived by the title of the book. It is only the title of the first essay and nothing to do with the rest of the book.
Is this helpful?
