以往看易中天的書,主因是其高超的說故事技巧,然而,此書就讓我看得頗費神,對事件的解釋又有些倒果為因,又或牽強附會,使我略後悔花時間看此書.

I have the feeling that this book is written for those who appreciate appreciation. If you are not interested in the first place, the stories quoted in this book could not tempt you to do so. That is why I decided not to read on after 60pages.

Just a so so book. Decided to stop reading it after reading 20+ pages.

Using a single technique "Random Word", the author tries to explore 62 ways to play along with these words. However, I found it a bit boring only after working on ~10 exercises and decided to abandon it.

The book is too dogmatic to me. Although I manage to read this book cover-to-cover, I don't think I have absorbed anything. I also don't have any motivation to re-read it. That's why I marked it as "abandoned".

The book can be more concise with fewer examples. In addition, the five faces seem to be formed in an arbitrary manner. There must be a lot of overlapping areas!

my lesson: In addition to asking why and what, I should start to ask more "how". Answers can be smart. They can also be creative!

After reading 100 pages, I decided to give it up. Boring is too strong a word. But it can be more concise. Some of the messages are overly elaborated. Understanding the meaning is crucial. But presenting multiple tiny facets of successful people just is not convincing!

A book on positive psychology. This introduces different ways to arouse yourself. But yet there are plenty of other books with better influence out there. For example, books of Spencer Johnson are more touching.

After reading 40+ rules, I decide that book does not click on me. It is time to stop reading.

I used to read the books of Stephen Hawking and Carl Sagan with great interest. But after reading 50+ pages this book still doesn't turn me on. I'd rather abandon it to save my time for other books!

I pick this up because of the high rating in various book review site. May be a good book for readers with serious interest in philosophy. But not an easy book for causal reading.

有趣的故事，可惜 spoiled by translation，應該直接去看原著。

Alex's story is a bit interesting. But the letters and the other plots are boring. I can't help abandoning the book afte 30+ pages.

We can see that the author's passion for promoting reading to children. But how? Be a role model to read books yourself. However, if you are reading this book, you must be a reading parent or teacher. So why do you need the author to tell you to do so?

Don't know why .... It is the second books from the same author that I have to abandon ... I did try hard to read on. But the topic did not touch me.

It is too difficult for me. After reading the first 20 pages, I can't help glancing through the rest of the book

To my vague memory, majority of the articles have been published in the author's another book, The Return of Economic Naturalist. I decided not to read on after finishing 50+ pages.

I chose this book because of God Delusion, expecting to see something similar. Obviously I made the wrong choice as this book is nothing to do with the latter!

A bit too negative. I do believe the positive side and compassion of the world. Also the same point is sometimes elaborated too much while sometimes the description is too shallow.

This book is, well, sort of academic and is not an easy reading, esp when compared to Nudge or Fooled by Randomness.
