You can consider this book as a follow up of Thomas' The World Is Flat and Hot, Flat and Crowded.
Although the authors are only addressing the challenges faced by USA, the same can be said to most other developed countries. The remedies may not be panacea. They are worthy of deep dive consideration ... (

I picked this book up just because of the name of the author, not knowing the articles are extracted from Apple Daily. Anyway, the articles do provide an insightful analysis of China. In turns, this provides us the Hong Kong people a point for self reflection.

The book is about the life story of the author, with majority of the latter half devoted to the growth and culture of the company Zappos.
The early part is adventurous and hilarious and worth the time although I am not sure how bias it is. However, the latter part, especially the part on core value ... (

Peter Buffett, son of Warren, to tell us what life is? How dare he do so! He certainly has a head start and how can he understand others less privileged?
These are my thought when I first picked this book. Peter is going to prove me wrong with his sharing in the book. I am glad that I continue to ... (

喜歡文以載食中對食物的尊重,所以續看作者寫的食經,不過就略有點膩的感覺,或許是只能看不能玩的緣故。
話雖如此,作者的第三本書「食咗當去咗」我還是會看的。

What I wish I knew when I was 20

The author is a good story teller. I am a bit disappointed after reading the book given its hype. Full of style. Should have more substance. I would rather read Paul Arden's books to challenge my brain.
Summary:
- Steve jobs' claim about passion and connecting the dots backward
- Richard wiseman's ... (continue ) -

Given its controversy, I am a bit disappointed by the content of this book. Unlike The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, that tries to prove/disprove on conceptual level, this book tries to tackle the irrational/inhumanity of religion in different areas. However, even a truly rational leader can make ... (

Probably because of the tie between the author and Steve Jobs, I found this book biased towards Steve. It is fair to say Steve Jobs made many breakthrough. But it could be a hindsight bias to argue what he did led to what he achieved.

After reading 100 pages, I decided to give it up. Boring is too strong a word. But it can be more concise. Some of the messages are overly elaborated. Understanding the meaning is crucial. But presenting multiple tiny facets of successful people just is not convincing!
