A really good book to know the basic events in Australian history -
I didn't know anything about Australian history before reading this book, except maybe that it was discovered by a British guy a bunch of centuries ago, so I was uncertain where to start from. This was a very good choice: I think it's almost impossible to squeeze in many more facts in only 350 pages ... (

I liked the first book enough to go on with the second one, but after few boring chapters I simply gave up.

Morrison at his best: when he's free to do whatever he wants he has few rivals.
Also, the deluxe edition is pretty good, I'd say it's worth the extra money. -

I really loved the first two stories, while I didn't enjoy that much the last -- and longest -- one (probably too far in time and space from me).
The first and second stories are just wonderful: deep and moving, with a delightful touch of fantasy and silliness. -

"What's that noise?" -
(continue ) -

I read this book in more than a year, often putting it behind other readings, but finally I finished it, in time for HBO's show third season, and I have to say that, even if the first 600 pages or so where often quite boring, the last half was full of surprises and everything made sense. I hope I'll ... (

I'd say that this books is to thrillers what Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita is to pornography.
